International trade is paperwork-heavy, slow, and often riddled with inefficiencies. While working with EY and a major NZ dairy co-op, I led a game-changing initiative to automate and digitise global trade documentation using a blend of blockchain, AI, and Azure.

We built a platform that could automatically generate, validate, and securely store documents like bills of lading and certificates of origin. By integrating smart contracts and using Python-based NLP for document parsing, we eliminated manual processes and significantly improved turnaround times.

What really stood out was the use of blockchain to ensure document authenticity and tamper-resistance—a massive step forward in compliance and transparency across the supply chain.

This project was a powerful reminder that even the most traditional industries are ripe for transformation when we combine the right technologies with the right vision.
